The runoff for Place 5 on the Allen City Council is June 15. Early voting begins June 3.

I am running for City Council primarily for two reasons.  First, I will bring over 25 years of community service to the role – six of them as an Allen City Councilmember and five as an Allen ISD Board Trustee.  More importantly, I will bring the voters meaningful choice in this election.

The seat I am running for is occupied by an incumbent with whom I served for two years.  During that time, in our comments and our votes, we expressed different approaches on a variety of significant issues – infrastructure, parks and trails, first responders, inclusion, risk management – just to name a few.  Over the next 2 months, I plan to highlight some of these differences for you.

Allen City Councilmembers are not only focused on budgets and tax dollars, but we are also accountable for keeping Allen on a trajectory of excellence.  We owe the next generation an even better city than the one we inherited from those who worked so hard to bring us to this point.

As a Councilmember, I always focused on balancing the needs of our community while enhancing our quality of life.  This means excellent public safety, infrastructure, and city services must balance in a fiscally responsible manner with Parks and Trails, quality development, and other services and amenities.

I believe that my professional qualifications and civic experience make me the best candidate to deliver the value that Allen taxpayers expect from their City Council.  My sole accountability has always been to you – the Allen resident – without any partisan or other special interest agenda.
