MEET CARL

Carl and his wife, Laurie, are long-time residents of Allen. They have been married 39 years and have five adult children and nine grandchildren. They are members of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. Through more than 20 years of community service, Carl is the best qualified candidate for Place 5 on the Allen City Council.

Community Service

Carl has a track record of service with community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Citizen’s Police Academy, and Citizen’s Fire Academy. He continues to volunteer with Allen’s Citizen’s Emergency Response Team (CERT), Citizens on Patrol, and as a board member with the Allen Public Safety Recovery Fund. Over more than two decades, he served in appointed positions with the following boards:

  • Allen Economic Development Corporation
  • Allen Parks & Recreation Board
  • Allen Community Development Corporation

Servant Leadership

In addition to his volunteer service, Carl served in elected positions starting in 2012. Beginning with a five-year stint as a School Board Trustee with the Allen Independent School District, Carl served on multiple committees—many of them concurrently. Then, in 2017, he was elected to the Allen City Council where he served until 2023, including as Council Liaison with six boards and commissions. After a one-year break, Carl is eager to return to public service on the Allen City Council.

Professionally, Carl is a Certified Public Accountant with over 35 years’ experience in Accounting and Corporate Finance. He is currently an Accounting Management Consultant for a large Management Services company. Carl’s lifetime of service and experience are unique and invaluable in any volunteer role, but particularly in his present goal to serve on the Allen City Council for another three years.
